Justin and Rita were married on June 9, 2018 on a gorgeous late spring day! The sun was shining and a nice breeze was coming off the water for this downtown New Bedford, Massachusetts area wedding. It couldn’t have been more perfect day for these two to celebrate the start of their lives together!

I met Rita and the ladies at this really neat apartment above Cork Wine and Tapas Bar. Justin and Rita’s rehearsal dinner had been there the night before so it couldn’t have been a more convenient spot for them to stay! Between the stonework walls, wood beams, and natural light I was in love with this space! Her bridal party looked on as she put on her finishing touches and everyone agreed that she looked simply stunning! Once she was ready, we crossed the street and Rita and Justin shared a first look at the harbor. Justin lit up when he finally saw Rita and it was such a special moment for the two of them as they anticipated finally being married in just a couple hours!

The wedding party and family went over to Fort Phoenix State Park for some formal photos. From there it was time for their ceremony at the stunning Unitarian Memorial Church in Fairhaven, Massachusetts. I was in awe in this church! The details were incredible and it felt like we were in an old church in Europe! There were tears and beautiful emotions as Justin and Rita exchanged personal vows and promised each other forever. They were officially married and the celebrations began!

Upon arriving back in downtown New Bedford, Rita and Justin strolled the cobblestone streets together while we documented their laughter and joy. I loved that throughout the day these two were just 100% themselves. It was lighthearted and fun just like them and everyone was smiling and laughing all evening!

Their reception was held at The New Bedford Whaling Museum where there is such a unique space for cocktail hour! The Lagoda Room has the world’s largest ship model of a whaling ship which guests could actually go up on and explore! From there guests went upstairs for the rest of the reception in the Harbor View Gallery. With such a gorgeous evening, almost everyone came in and went right out to the balcony as the sun was setting and casting a beautiful sunset over the harbor!

Justin and Rita had an incredible bluegrass band, Four Bridges Band, entertaining guests during both the cocktail hour and reception. They shared a beautiful first dance and enjoyed toasts from family and friends before guests were treated to a delicious dinner from Russell Morin Catering and Events. And once everyone had eaten they were up out of their seats dancing to the Four Bridges Band! It was such a fun celebration for a wonderful couple!

Rita and Justin, wishing you two all the best! Congratulations again!
