Jared and Celia were married on July 21, 2018 and what a joyful day it was! These two met in their freshman year at UNH (check out their adorable UNH engagement session) and here they are now as husband and wife! It was such an honor documenting their wedding day!

After shooting so many weddings, it’s always fun when I get to document something I never have before. Jared and Celia got ready at the same hotel and were going to take the same trolley over to the ceremony location. They wanted to have a first look when they got there, but not before…this posed the problem of not seeing each other while on the trolley ride over. They solved this problem by blindfolding Jared once he was on the trolley so that he couldn’t see Celia! This was so fun and I love some of the images from the day where they’re standing right near each other, but Jared can’t see Celia yet as he’s blindfolded!

Their first look and ceremony took place at a summer home that belongs to Celia’s family right on the water in Fairhaven, Massachusetts. The setting was stunning! Celia has such fond memories of this place from her whole life and now this place holds even more significance for her and Jared. They shared an emotional first look down by the water. Celia and Jared were so excited to finally be here, after planning this wedding from so far away (Kansas!). Everything was falling into place just as they envisioned and they were both beaming!

The weather could not have been more perfect for a late-July day! It was in the high 70s and there was a slight breeze and barely any humidity (thank you, Mother Nature)!! As guests arrived to the backyard, the wedding party hid out in the house and shared some laughs and toasts. It was another emotional moment as Celia’s dad walked her down the aisle and gave her hand to Jared. Jared and Celia were married by a friend of theirs and the ceremony was beautifully personal and real. They exchanged vows that they had written themselves and soon they were sealing the deal with a kiss!

Before heading over to the Century House for the reception, the trolley stopped at Hoppy’s Landing where Celia and Jared were able to soak it in that they were married as we strolled the beach and captured some beautiful moments of the new Mr. and Mrs.! We had the place to ourselves and the setting was simply breathtaking! Jared and Celia walked hand in hand, held each other close, and enjoyed these moments making each other smile.

Guests enjoyed an evening of food, fun, laughter, and dancing at the Century House. Jared and Celia were surrounded by their loved ones on this first day as an official family! They wowed guests with their first dance moves! Their joy was so visible and love so strong. Celia and Jared, I wish you two all the best! Congratulations!
